Musician, Educator and Designer

Kristen Bellisario received her M.F.A. from the University of California, Irvine in Flute and was the recipient of a Regents Fellowship. Her primary areas of interest were flute performance, spanish renaissance ornamentation, music theories of Messiaen and Bartok, and digital sound as performed interactively, performance art, and digital transformation for recording.

She actively worked as a two-dimensional design artist for California non-profit organizations under the tutelage of various graphic designers. This two-dimensional form graduated to performance recordings, sound and lighting design for live performance, digitization and sound creation, film, photography and interactive multimedia.

Her ideology merges these art forms into sound educational principles for students of all ages. Incorporating Suzuki, Orff, and Gardner's Multiple Intelligence Theories, she has designed curriculum for pre-school through college-aged.
